The perfect hide away

Once a gamekeeper’s cottage, now an undisturbed hideaway with views of farmland out of every sash window. Natural light seeps into every room and there’s plenty of space for two.

Easter escape, summer trip, or winter weekend away – you’ll always be greeted by impressive views of the Moray Firth coastline, the Black Isles and beyond. From grand armchairs in the living room to the paintings on the bedroom walls, we’ve added thoughtful touches to help you relax. Forget drinking your morning coffee while you do a million other things – sit back on the garden bench and lap up the Scottish sun.

After a visit to Elgin Cathedral or even white water rafting in Cairngorms National Park, try a delicious pie from Bruce Clark butchers and sip on Scottish malt whisky.

What to do

Whether you want to relax or explore, there’s plenty to do near Achneim Cottage. You could:
Forage along the beach for salty Samphire and serve with Scottish salmon fillets from Wester Ross Salmon; Get up close with the marine life at the Scottish Dolphin Centre at Spey Bay; Cycle through the Culbin forest with easy to follow routes; Visit in June for the European Pipe Band Championships at Forres.

Property amenities

All properties include microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, TV & DVD player, iPod docking station and hairdryer. A welcome hamper is provided in the cottage for your arrival. All bed linen and towels are provided.

Logs and a stock of kindling are provided free of charge for the duration of your stay. Only adults may light and maintain fires and fireguards provided must be used.
