Around the Village
Closer to home Cawdor Castle and its gardens are well worth a visit. Golfers can book a round at Cawdor Castle Golf Course, while in the village, antiques at MacMuddles, lunch at Cawdor Deli or supper at Cawdor Tavern round things off neatly.

Coast & the Moray Firth
The Moray coast offers a quieter kind of drama, from wide beaches at Nairn and Findhorn Bay to long, open stretches of the Moray Coastal Trail. Dolphin spotting at Chanonry Point is a highlight, or take to the water with EcoVentures. Seafood lunches in Cromarty or along the coast make an easy, satisfying finish.

Cycling & Forest Trails
Cycling is a natural way to explore the area, with quiet back roads and a wide network of forest tracks. Nearby, Culbin Forest offers miles of well-marked routes through dunes and woodland, part of an RSPB reserve rich in birdlife and open space.

Whisky & Culture
Achneim Cottage is well placed for whisky-led days and cultural outings. The Speyside Malt Whisky Trail begins nearby, with visits to Tomatin Distillery and smaller Speyside producers, alongside browsing at Johnston’s of Elgin and Campbell’s of Beauly or an evening at Eden Court Theatre.

Local Days Out
From family adventures at Landmark Forest Adventure Park to dolphin spotting at Chanonry Point, there’s plenty to do nearby - including access to the Highlands’ world-class golf courses, or the option to plan a full golf week across the region.

Your Home from Home
After big days out, return to calm interiors, quality materials and thoughtful details that make the house feel like a proper home - comfortable, welcoming and quietly luxurious.

Dog Friendly
Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at Cawdor Cottages. Please ensure your pet is added to the reservation at the time of booking.
